The Secret Ingredient to My Coaching Success: A Non Dual Mindset
Coaching is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth, helping us tap into our full potential and reach our goals. But what I told you that there was a secret ingredient that takes coaching to the next level? What if there was a mindset that enhances the effectiveness of coaching and brings about deeper transformation?
This is where the concept of non duality comes in. Non duality is a way of seeing and experiencing the world that goes beyond the traditional views of right and wrong, good and bad, success and failure. These concepts still exist, and are respected, but they’re seen as two interconnected poles that are part of one whole rather than separate, dichotomous pairs. I’m going to explain how integrating a non dual mindset into coaching benefits both the coach and the client.
Delving into the essence of non duality, it's essentially the profound belief in the interconnectedness of all entities, events, and experiences. The interconnectedness of all things. It’s the dual truth that you are both one with everything and a distinct individual at the same time. There is more of a state of peace, grounding and flow when this philosophy is embraced and embodied, something that I have been working on for over 20 years. This well of experience enables me to provide a space for my clients to find their grounding in connectedness and unity. This is the secret sauce of success, because when we are one with everything, nothing stands in our way. Obstacles become growth opportunities, sometimes even advantages, and solutions seem to present themselves out of thin air.
Non duality paints a picture of the universe as an intricate tapestry, where every thread, no matter how seemingly insignificant, contributes to the overall pattern. This unified understanding of existence forms the bedrock of a non dual approach, erodes the type of resistance that perpetuates problems, and allows us to embrace our strongest, most beautiful qualities, and let go of what isn’t working for us. Because we’re one with everything, there is an innate desire to flow and to become more of our Authentic Self.
Who we were taught we should be leaves and a certain fun re-enters our lives. It’s like a gleeful liberation subtle, soft, and slow, that builds up until the next thing we know, we’re doing exactly what we want to be doing, exactly the way we want to be doing it, the vast majority of the time. And this is how life is meant to be lived! This is the true purpose of coaching. And it all happens by being present and thus giving someone else the permission to be present. The coaching is key, but the magic is in non duality.
